Sara Galac graduated from the Veterinary Faculty in Ljubljana, Slovenia (1996), before moving to the Netherlands (2001). She is currently an associate professor at the Department of Clinical Sciences, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Utrecht, where she leads the veterinary oncology research group. Her main interest is endocrinology and in research focuses on adrenal tumors. Sara has published journal articles, research abstracts, case reports, and book chapters, and co-edited recently published Canine Endocrinology book. She frequently speaks at veterinary conferences and contributes to continuing education. She also served as president of the European Society of Veterinary Endocrinology (ESVE). Sara loves to spend time with her family enouncing two daughters, two cats and a dog. She loves classical music and is a big fan of Finnish Klaus Mäkelä who will be a new chief conductor of the Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam.
